Halfbill Chat plans

Chat plans are optional monthly subscriptions for Halfbill Chat, the Halfbill chat app. Without a plan, the chat spends your credits at the regular per-token prices. With a plan, you pay a flat monthly price for a fair-use message allowance.

Plans

There are three tiers, billed monthly:

Every tier covers thousands of frontier-model messages a month; the exact amount depends on message length. Current plans are on the pricing page.

How the allowance works

• Monthly reset — Your plan allowance refreshes at the start of each billing cycle. Unused allowance does not roll over to the next month.
• Plan allowance drains first — Messages sent from the chat app draw down your plan's allowance before anything else.
• Credits overflow — Once the fair-use allowance is used up, the chat continues from your credits balance at per-token prices, so you can keep chatting without interruption. Top up credits from the Billing page.
• No plan — Without a subscription, every message is billed to your credits at per-token prices.

Managing your plan

• Open the Pricing page from the Halfbill Chat sidebar to compare plans and subscribe.
• Your active plan appears in the Halfbill Chat sidebar with a badge, alongside how much of the allowance remains for the cycle.
• Upgrading takes effect immediately: you're charged the new plan's full price, your billing cycle restarts, and your allowance resets to the new plan's full monthly amount. Unspent allowance from the old cycle doesn't carry over.
• Downgrading also takes effect immediately: you move to the lower plan's allowance right away, and the unused portion of what you already paid for the higher plan is credited against your next invoice.
• Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for — you keep access until then.
