Sign up, verify your email, and take a short tour of the dashboard.

Your Halfbill account is where you add credits, create keys for tools, and see what you have used. Signing up takes about a minute.

What you'll need

An email address you can open, and a password of at least 12 characters. No payment card yet.

1. Sign up

  1. Open halfbill.uk/signup.
  2. Enter your email and choose a password. The name is optional.
  3. Click Start free.

2. Verify your email

We send you an email with a confirmation link. Click it. Until you do, the dashboard shows a banner saying your email is unverified, and the first-purchase bonus on credits is not applied. Check your spam folder if the email does not arrive within a few minutes.

3. A tour of the dashboard

After signing in you land on the dashboard at halfbill.uk/dashboard. The menu on the left has two groups.

Project (things that belong to one project; you start with one called "Default"):

Menu itemWhat it is
DashboardYour balance, how many requests you made, and what they cost, for the selected date range.
ActivityA list of every request, one per line, with the model used and the cost.
Usage & MetricsCharts of requests, errors, and cost over time.
API KeysThe keys you give to tools such as Claude Code or Cursor so they can use your balance.
SettingsPreferences for this project, including guardrails (rules that block unwanted content).

Organization (things shared across all your projects):

Menu itemWhat it is
TeamInvite other people and choose what they may do.
Your DiscountsAny discounts or bonuses applied to your account.
CreditsYour balance, with an Add button that opens the top-up dialog.

Your name at the bottom left opens a menu with Account (name, email, delete account), Billing (top-ups, plans, invoices), and Security (password, two-factor sign-in).

Two buttons at the top right of the dashboard do the most common tasks: Create API Key and Top Up Credits.
